Local Decisions Are Best Made Locally
We have all been given a front-row seat to watch the states do battle with the federal government, as governors challenge the President – and visa-versa – when it comes to who knows best and who possesses the highest legal authority in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As I said recently to my colleagues, there’s no playbook for leadership when the stakes are high, and there are no higher stakes than helping communities survive in a 21st Century pandemic. We’re all facing threats on multiple fronts at once: to self, family, friends, colleagues, citizens, vendors, and our governmental partners.
The Great Experiment
With much of the world sequestered away doing their best to “flatten the curve,” there’s no better time to reflect on and reinforce and recommit to the ideals of Adaptive Leadership. I imagine that many of you who find your way to this blog are familiar with the concept, and we’ll explore it more in future posts.
